Kaitlyn Ronstadt is a pianist and educator based in Bellingham, Washington. With a passion for both performance and teaching, she brings depth, warmth, and clarity to her work with students and audiences alike. Kaitlyn maintains a vibrant private studio, performs in a variety of chamber settings, and continues to pursue artistic projects that connect music to community.

Private Lessons
My teaching approach is rooted in the belief that excellence in music is not just about skill, but about discovering your own artistic voice. I work closely with each student to build a strong technical foundation while also encouraging curiosity, creativity, and personal expression at the instrument.
Lessons are customized to support each student’s goals and learning style, with a focus on:
Solid technique, healthy biomechanics, and tone production
Confident music reading, rhythm, and interpretation
Intentional listening and artistic decision-making
Integrated theory and musicianship
A disciplined, structured approach to practice and growth
Students in my studio are guided toward high-level musical fluency, but also toward becoming independent, expressive musicians in their own right.
Lessons are offered in person in Bellingham, WA and virtually.
Preschool Piano & Music Foundation Classes
These group classes introduce children in Pre-K and Kindergarten to the piano in collaborative classes which lay the foundation for successful piano study. Through rote playing, improvisation, and follow-the-leader pieces as well as movement, singing and rhythm patterns, children will learn the layout of the keyboard, diatonic note letter names, and correct piano technique, while continuing and strengthening their music development. These classes are structured for 3-4 students. Families are provided with a detailed practice outline making at-home practice easy.
